I spent fifteen years in that war. Yo-yo diets, disordered eating, and fresh reasons to be at war with my body, one after another. So nothing on this page is theory to me.

What the eating is actually doing

Emotional eating is not a discipline problem. It's a solution, an old one, installed by a younger you who found that food could soothe what nothing else reached: loneliness, shame, fear, the feeling of not being enough. Somewhere along the way, a conclusion was drawn about your worth, and your body became the place that conclusion was fought out.

That's why willpower keeps losing. Willpower argues with the behaviour, while the subconscious programming underneath keeps faithfully answering the original pain. Until the pain is met at its source, the messenger keeps coming.

How Emotional Healing Hypnosis approaches it

In a deep session of around three hours, we follow the feeling that drives the eating, not the eating itself, back to where it began. In deep relaxation, aware and in control throughout, you meet the moment where the old story of your worth was written. We release the emotional charge it has been holding and give the younger you what was actually needed back then, which was almost never food.

The aim is not control. It's peace: with food, and with the body you live in. When the story changes, the fighting has less to feed on. We are what we speak, and this work is where the speaking changes.

What a session looks like

A long, honest conversation first, with zero judgement; there is nothing you could tell me about food that I haven't lived or heard. Then a gradual descent into deep relaxation, the work at the root, and a gentle return. Afterwards you receive a personalised hypnosis track to listen to for 30 days, reinforcing the new story daily, in your own ears.

I make no promises about weight, and I never will. This is not a weight loss program and not a treatment for diagnosed eating disorders, which deserve professional medical and psychological care at the centre. What I offer is root-cause work on the story underneath, alongside whatever other care you have, and complete honesty about whether it's right for you.

Is this a weight loss program?

No. The work isn't about your body changing; it's about the story underneath the eating changing. Food patterns are usually loyal messengers of an older wound. We work with the wound, not the scales.

I've dieted for years. How is this different?

Diets work on behaviour with willpower. This works on the subconscious programming that keeps overpowering your willpower: the early conclusions about worth, comfort and control that food learned to answer. When the reason quiets down, the behaviour has less to feed.

What about eating disorders?

Diagnosed eating disorders need professional medical and psychological care, and this work is not a treatment for them. If that's where you are, please keep your professional supports at the centre. The discovery call is a good place to talk honestly about whether this work fits.
